Depression Hurts

I didn't post my weigh in this week.  Oddly fitting since I haven't been posting much of anything lately.  The reason I didn't post is probably not a shocker to anyone but me. Sunday, when I got on the scale I was looking at 286.6.  Not expected.  Seems wrong to me, but there is was in black digital copy.  I have increased the number of cheeseburgers I have eaten, but c'mon!  Needless to say in the midst of deciding to step up from my downward spiral...I got knocked down again.

I gave myself an opportunity to really process it.

I even ignored a blatant attempt by my grandma to have me tell her about how my weigh in went. (sorry granny)

Anywho...it is what it is and if I am EVER going to get over this hump...I have to move on.  I am responsible for myself and my actions.

I am walking in a beginning 5K on the 7th, the day after my last day of work.  Then my schedule is wide open to train for the Komen.  I will be praying for strength.

  2. Depression is just dreadful and you have had a hard time recently. Don't let the numbers knock you back on your decision to step up, sometimes you gotto take a few steps up before it starts to feel a bit better. Just keep on taking those steps and we will be with you cheering you on EVERY STEP OF THE WAY x

  3. I'm sorry you are going through such a hard time Christie. Hang in there. 7 lbs, so what? it isnt 17, or 27, or 57. It still means you have lost over 20 lbs. I know it is hard to go backwards, but be gentle with yourself. What's done is done. You were/are having a hard time right now, you slipped backwards a little. You can put a cap on it now. I know what I'm talking about, you have read my blog. You won't feel any better if you let it get any further out of hand. If you need to take a break from losing weight right now for you mental health, I don't think there is anything wrong with that, just don't take a break from living healthy. I said it before, but you might consider making your current goal to just maintain where you are. When you feel better, and you are ready, you will start to lose weight again. Hugs
