Officially. I am shutting down this pity party. Not that I feel any better about any of the stuff that I am going through, but I am giving it to God. I am walking away from it and RUNNING into the future! I will still have down days, but I have lost focus and I need to put everything into focus because if I am losing sight of something so important, I am losing focus on everything.
Last night, tornadoes hit my area again. I looked at these photos and stories. How can I not see how blessed I truly am. Luckily, my family and friends are all ok. (major storm damage is about 35 miles from where I live, but in an area where I used to work)
The scale is a SHOCKER and not in a good way, but that is for tomorrow.

Good for you. So much stuff in our lives are out of our control. Time to focus on the what you can do. God has big shoulders !
ReplyDeleteGod will strengthen us for sure. We still have to do our part. God is not going to zap any of us and make it smooth sailing. Read Ephesians 5:5 - what we are doing is idolatry. I have been convicted that gluttony is a sin and think on that a lot. If we go on sinning after we know the truth, we never knew Him. We crucify Him again. Let's you and I determine to be obedient with our eating and what better time than Easter to repent and lay this idolatry down?
ReplyDeleteI misunderstood...I thought for a minute you were shutting down your blog and I was saying noooooooo at the computer, then I realised that maybe you meant you were shutting down the difficult thoughts. I'm so glad you're not going away..I love to read real blogs...you know real people, who have struggles like I do and have their little ups and downs like we ALL do. It makes it feel like we are in this together. I do wish some better days come your way and we can celebrate together
ReplyDeleteDawn
I'm glad you, your family and friends are not directly effected by the tornados. I know that sometimes when I get to involved in myself I forget about the big picture.
ReplyDeleteGood for you for deciding to put the funk behind you! Just pick up and move on, no need to look back at the little blimp that has been the last short period of time, other than possibily to see why it happened in an effort to avoid it in the future.
I haven't commented on how glad I am that you are back because I have been quite sick. But I really am glad you are back, I'm looking forward to reading more of your stuff.
