It's Always Darkest Before The Dawn and Other Random Spatterings

So...thanks for hanging in there with me.  I think I am on the upswing.

A few things have happened since we last saw our heroine...

I had a phone interview and I am qualified for the position.

and

I had a two hour massage.  (Not to complain, but I will never do this again..too much of a good thing, got bored, wanted to go home)

I also got a pedicure and a full set of acrylic nails, french manicure style.  Tried to find some interview style clothing at the Fashion Bug, but NO SUCH LUCK.  Oh, well!!!  I will keep looking.

Going back to work tomorrow...trying to stay on track foodwise and trying not to think about the job too much.

This evening I am attending the wedding  of the letter Q and the letter U for my daughters kindergarten class.  Should be fun...will take photos, they HAVE GOT to be worth seeing, right?

Haven't been commenting on blogs lately, I'm out there though...reading and rooting for you.  Hope to be back to normal soon....well, at least like I was before the job thing...LOL!

  1. Congrats on the interview! I hope you get something lined up soon! It was a devastating blow at first, but I have to admit I am looking forward to new adventures and less drama! Ok, ok, every place has drama, so maybe just different drama! Good Luck!

  2. Great news about the phone interview going well. Thats a big step forward. All the looking after you will have been so good for the inner self and making you feel great.
I find with jobs, you have to be right for their job and their job has to be right for you. Its a match. I HOPE you get it and if/when you do what FABULOUS news that would be. Fingers crossed for you.

  4. I hope you get - and LIKE - the job!!! Congrats on that. =) Keep your chin up, Christie, you can do this.

Two hour massage? Yeesh. That would be a bit much, but I'm glad you enjoyed yourself.

  6. Christie, I'm glad to hear you feel like you are on the upswing. Good plan on doing some self-pampering. We all need that sometimes.
There was no comment here about food or exercise. I dont know what is happening with that. I can only speak from experience when I say that when life throws something unlpeasant at you, or a series of somethings, getting off track from your health goals fixes nothing. I know it is hard, beyond hard to forge ahead when we are feeling like crap, but how I wish I would have forced myself to just put one foot in front of the other, both figuratively and literally, instead of becoming complacent.
Of course I have no idea if this post is way off the mark, but each day we 'take a break' makes it 10 times harder to get back.
If I have missed the mark here, I will totally understand if you dont post this.
    Take care.
